I wanna be BRAVE !

Who doesn't want to be brave? Everyone does! But at times it takes lots of courage to do so.

So here's my story about my heroines, my mum and stepmum:

Both of them suffered from cancer, which put them through a lot of pain and suffering during the process of their chemos and therapy. But despite this illness that they have suffered, they still persevere on in life in hope of a cure, not for themselves, for their children. My 2 elder sister, my step brother and my baby step sister. They stand strong in believing that they will be fine as they want to see their own kids grow up, become successful and of course see them get married. It's every parent's dream.

I remembered when I was young at the age of 7, I found out my mum have contracted cancer, but, I heard she had contracted it when I was even younger, just that I didn't know of till I grow older and become more sensible. Despite her therapy and on-going chemo, she still came home to do cooking and teach my 2 elder sisters and I in any doubts of our studies. Yes, the chemo made her tired and easily frustrated as she is balding day by day, but that did not stopped her from making sure we get to school on time, produce excellent grades to have a better education and thought us about the rights and wrongs in life.
As I see her growing weaker and weaker by day, I was hoping for a miracle, but she passed away in front of my eyes when I was 9 years old (Year 2000), with her last breathe telling my dad and I things that we can't help but cry real hard. Even on her death bed she told us to stay strong and no matter what, to be happy. Even told my dad to remarry so that there will be someone to take care of my 2 elder sister and I. She thought of us all this while despite her sufferings and passed away.

It is the same thing that happened to my stepmum last year, she was battling the illness but unwilling to go as my baby sis is still young, currently 5 years old. She even told me she can't pass away just like that, if she does, who is going to look after my baby sis, she will grow up without a mum. I teared at those words, from a lady who was so healthy and alive, to someone so frail. It is tough going through the process of this pain, losing another love ones, it was unbearable. But before she passed away, I promised to take good care of my baby sis, even till now my baby sis still doesn't know of her passing. We just tell her, mummy went somewhere far away. But I believe she will grow up to be strong and brave too when the truth is known to her, she may cry, may weep, but she will be brave facing the truth.

Despite both my mum and stepmum situation, they remained so brave, even when they are on their deathbed, they still cared about their own children. Mums are the best in the world. But life is just never fair, we need bravery to pass through everyday, be it what obstacles met. Stay brave people!
